We are just home from LABBS Convention 2013 at Llandudno, where we are really proud to have come 6th in the finals. What a wonderful weekend!

We're through to the semi-finals!  LABBS prelim finals at Streetly Academy in Sutton Coldfield.   It was a great competition and fabulous to meet up with our mates who all sang well.  We came 8th overall so it is all to play for in Llandudno in October.

It was a privilege to sing at Karen's father-in-common-law's wedding in Castle Donington.  Congratulations Malcolm and Geraldine!

Warming up backstage on Friday 7th December
Thank you Belles and Silver Lining for inviting us to sing at your Christmas Shows on Wednesday and Friday this week. Both nights were a race: On Wednesday only 3 of us were on stage at rehearsal (but all 4 for a fab show), and on both nights Jo and Karen had to run to change costumes between numbers! Merry Christmas!

Heading home from the national Ladies Barbershop convention in Telford where we opened up the competition as "mike warmers".   We sang well and the judges score did not let us down at all - we might have been finalists if we had been competing!  Great weekend!

Thank you to Churchover Gardening Club for their warm welcome as we entertained them in Julie's lovely garden.   The unexpected encore had Jo in a panic - she had to dash to her handbag to find the pitch for another song!

It was great to spend the morning at Hearsall Golf Club with presentation coach Nickie Williams.  Now we are nearly ready for "mike warming" at the Quartet competition in Telford in

We enjoyed performing at "The Sounds of Three Spires" charity concert last night in Coleshill.  The chaps were having a good time at their pre-convention retreat.  We wish them well in their competition.

Had a fantastic session with the lovely Monica yesterday, working on our new (hush, hush) contest song

We enjoyed our day out yesterday at the mock competition at Walsall.  Six quartets (women and men) were invited to perform in front of LABBS ad BABS judges undergoing assessment.

We don't know who was most nervous - us or the judges!
